This is a beautiful 19th Century French Enamel Trinket/Jewelry Box. It is adorned with beauitiful ormolu hardware with lions claw feet, and the most beautiful turqoise enamel. It features a large crane on the lid of the box, with a beautiful background of foliage and butterflies. Inside the box is quilted silk upholstery. Missing the original key, and worn in a matter consistent with the age of the piece this is a rare find. Found in the Coastal city of Batroun, of Northern Lebanon you won't find a piece like it anytime soon.
