A striking copper vessel of Ottoman origin, likely 19th century, distinguished by its broad, bell-shaped body and flared neck. Unlike the tall, narrow ibrik, this form—with its low center of gravity and wide basin—suggests use as a water cooler or tulumbacı jug*, often left to settle drinking water or used for communal pouring. The heavy patination, in shades of green and black, has developed from decades of oxidation, resulting in a painterly surface of abstract beauty. The form is practical yet poetic, echoing the architectural curves of minarets and domes, and would have graced kitchens, caravanserais, or even mosques.
